On Tuesday I wore Spring colors and froze my toes off in sandals.

And today I busted out my new J. Crew Cardi and Anthro Sandals because I was so excited about both.

I don't usually wear flats, but the backs of these were just too awesome to pass up.  I know the online reviews mention that they run small, but I ordered my usual size and they fit comfortably, I've also find they stretch a bit as you wear them.

We have rain in the forecast for the rest of the week - which is great for the grass, but not so much for my motivation...it might be sweatpants tomorrow ;)

OOTD - Heatwave

We are heading to the pool later this morning, but first I have a couple of errands to run, so I took the opportunity to wear my new Heatwave shorts. They fit in the waist, they're cute, and they meet my new short-length requirements - big thumbs up.

OOTD - Yeah, Not So Much

As much as I love my Weekend Jeans from Old Navy, the white version is not for me. When I spotted them on others, I thought they look relaxed and easygoing. When I saw them on myself, it was just the opposite - someone who was trying too hard. The full-on holes in the knees, are just cooler then I am. I promptly placed these back in their original packaging and put on a pair of my Lucky's. But I'm getting desperate. I need some white jeans. Please point me in the right direction if you have a pair you love. I'm looking for cropped or cuffed and on the cheap. Help!

This Boden tee is a little gem with it's polka dots, ruffle neckline and comfy fit. I will resist going back for more colors, at least until I have some white denim to pair them with. Nudge, nudge.

OOTD - Old School

I have quite the stockpile of Boden cardigans hanging in my closet. The fun prints and bright colors would get me every time a new "range" would roll out. I couldn't stop ordering them, especially when Johnnie would send me emails offering 30% off. I finally came to two realizations though (1) as fun as these cardigans are, what I really needed to be adding to my collection, were some solid colors (2) the boxy fit wasn't the most flattering for me. I've actually even considered putting the whole lot of them on Ebay. But they are just too happy to look at. And I'm going to be better about actually wearing them, too.

It actually blends with my hair really well and ends up looking subtle - what was I so afraid of???

And in unrelated Spring accessory news - I bought a cute new bag! I had been tempted by Coach Tattersall before, but the pieces I'd seen all had the Heritage horse drawn stagecoach, which isn't my thing. When I heard our nearby outlet had gotten some Tattersall in, I decided to check it out, and I'm so glad I did! I think this preppy little bag wil be perfect for the warmer months ahead :)

Overwhelmed

Not in a good way.

So this fun body bag tote is what prompted my recent order from Boden<> I was excited to see the new US sizing being offered on their website and hoped it meant....new US sizing. Anxious to try it out, I ordered the boyfriend cardigan in a size 20 2.
Pity. It's so soft and cozy, but there's room for a boyfriend to climb in it with me - so back it goes!

I'm having a hard time parting with the tote though - it's just so CUTE. I could use it for a library bag.

Will people laugh?
