Be Bold. Be Brave. Be Seen in a Bubble Skirt.

Recently, I purchased the Montgolfier skirt from Anthropologie on deep discount. I think the hot air balloons make it irresistible. It will however be my first time traipsing around in a bubble hem.

OOTD - Inspired

I've found a lot of cute blogs recently, featuring super cute girls and their wardrobes. While I admire almost every outfit I see, a few ultra-wearable pieces I actually RACE to my mall for.

Rosa posted on her blog about this great tee from H&M and Shana sent out at PSA that this knit blazer was a must-have (buy both colors!). Thanks girls!

Quick Hit - Anthropologie Photographic Foliage Tank

It's cloudy - no chance of meatballs - just lots of rain in our forecast. So no good lighting for pictures, but I wanted to quick throw up this one of Anthropologie's Photographic Foliage Tank.

I bought this awhile ago at full price (I know, I know). It was soon after I started losing my baby weight from Graham, and I was desperate for something fresh and new, and desperate for the sunshine after a dreary PA Winter. Anyway - the fit was flowy when I received it, but still pretty. That was 10 lbs. ago. Now I'm thinking a belt is definitely in order. I still love the contrast of the black and white with the neon colors, so I'm inclined to keep it. I thought I'd post in case anyone is considering picking this one up now that it is on sale.

eeks now that I see this picture posted- maybe it is too much of a sack???

power blouse & some goodies from the sale

Looking through my closet to justify the purchase, I was amazed at how many pairings I could create with the Both Sides Blouse from Anthropologie (Item #013050 Not showing up online, but Customer Service said they had all sizes when I called)

Is there anything this blouse can't do? I asked myself as I imagined it with countless cardigans and skirts.

Well, it can't button itself in the back. That's for sure. But other then that, this little top is just the cutest! I really think it will earn it's keep around here.

I played around with the timer on my camera tonight, and experimented with different settings - so my pictures are...well, they are pretty much the same level of c@rpy as they are when I photograph in the mirror...but I'm hoping if I try this in the daytime, it will be a success!
First I tried putting together the outfit I created on Polyvore recently, and I like how it translated when I actually had it on.

From the Green Cardi (sold out online, but on sale in stores) I have this on in XS and I can button it comfortably without any gaping. The embroidery is gorgeous.

Scalloped Clouds Skirt which again, is sold out online but still hanging around in some stores if you want to try hunting one down.

Back of the blouse, which admittedly, is a pain to get into - I recommend not putting your lipstick on until you have climbed in.

My next sale goodie is the Celebratory Blouse by Odille. Broken record here, but call Anthropologie Customer Service directly, and I'll bet you can still find your size in this one.

I typically wear a size 2 in their tops, and I'm noticing from this picture, that I'll have to watch what unmentionable I wear. Truly, the armholes aren't too big IRL.

And I'd likely have a cardigan thrown over it anyway (this one is from H&M)
I think I might try this with a skinny red belt, next time
The details are so cheerful - love the red buttons and frilly collar.

And finally, I had to wrap up with the Glinting Hollyhock Tee because Jonathan was ready to go to bed. This was a total impulse buy for me, and I love that it's a step up from your casual t-shirt, but just as comfy. Check out the detail and pretty back on Anthro's website since obviously, my photo captures neither.
I will work on improving the technique when I try on some more recent purchases, tomorrow.

Bright Eyes

My friend Mindy showed up to preschool drop-off last week looking fresh faced and bright eyed. When I asked if she was doing something new with her make-up she willingly shared her recent drug store find with me (and literally too! Since she had just gotten this eyeliner BOGO she dug the extra from her purse and pressed it into my hand). It creates such a nice soft line, and the brush allows you to get right up against your lashline. I have only used pencils in the past, and the powder can get a teensy bit messy on your hand, but overall, I love it! I rely on "foolproof" make-up, and this eyeliner could not be easier.

Q: when is a tunic not a tunic?

A: When you are 5ft tall and it suddenly becomes a dress

Surprisingly, this Ruffles Everywhere Tunic is actually the perfect length to throw on with leggings. I did try it with tights, but modesty would prevent me from wearing anything that short, especially when bending over to pick things up (toys everywhere, all the time) is a big part of my day ;)

Help me out though, these are capri length leggings - do you think they work, or would full length be better?

I have lots of other sale goodies to report on - but my camera is taking a field trip with Harrison tonight, when he heads to the Sixers game!

A 26" Inseam

May I extend my personal thanks to Lauren Conrad!

Lauren Conrad Denim Leggings

I wouldn't describe these as leggings. They fit and feel like skinny jeans in my opinion. Either way, I don't have to tuck five inches of extra fabric into a pair of boots in order to wear them.

Here is a picture of the length - Sawyer's fingerprint is a bonus ;)
