OOTD - A-Bit-Unruly

I wanted to try out the outfit I created on Polyvore and see how it would translate IRL. I have to admit, while I thought the pairing was cute, the colors were just too Spring-like for me to wear today and I swapped the outfit out - but I do look forward to wearing this next month :)

Here is the tee on it's own, the neckline detail is really cute. The top is thin, but not so much so that I needed a cami underneath. I am wearing an XS and think this one runs a bit big.

I'm off to Sawyer's tennis lesson and then to the pharmacy - the prescription cream I bought Graham yesterday has disappeared....it's probably with the ball he sent down the floor vent a few days ago. Sigh. I hope they will refill it for me without too many questions ;)

OOTD - Woody Nymph Dress

This little number might not be the most special or exciting dress, but the Woody Nymph scores bonus points for comfort and ease! I have a parent teacher conference this afternoon at Harrison's school and then I need to start packing for Disney World once the boys are in bed - I can't wait for the surprise on Sunday morning!

Too Big a Bauble - Spinning Top Necklace Review

I had really high hopes for Anthropologie's Spinning Top Necklace, which is why I pulled the trigger at full price. Unfortunately, this piece just didn't work IRL, the chain is really dark, the bauble is really big, and overall I just felt it didn't lay well. The colors are beautiful, I'll give it that.

OOTD - Tea Party

Okay, technically the party we attended this afternoon to celebrate my adorable little cousin was a Pirate and Princess theme...but since I wasn't daring enough to wear a tutu and tiara I went for the girliest new addition to my closet and paired it with pink shoes. Sidenote - I think I'll have this dress hemmed...

Harrison scored two baskets in his game today, the party was a lot of fun with family and included TDF Red Velvet Cupcakes (I'm bowing to you, Gina!) and we were able to buy couches for our almost completed basement (I am so ready to be done with the dust!). All in all it was a great day, but I'm so exhausted it would take a magic wand to keep my eyes open much longer. I hope I can catch up on some sleep tonight!

OOTN - Lesson Learned, Drive Separately Next Time

Tonight was Girls Night Out with my neighbors, and since I don't drink, I'm always the designated driver. I wouldn't mind, except that staying out until 1am is way, way past my bedtime. The good news is that I got to wear my new top and cute shoes. The bad news is that my oldest has an 8am basketball game in the morning.

February Favorites

Here are my top four wishlist items for February.

Sing Sweetly Party Dress. EEK! I just noticed the 0 was already sold out of this dress online! I had intend to pick it up when it received a markdown. Of course now that quantity is dwindling I'm telling myself that Cinderella would love this dress. I mean remember all of her chirping little birdy friends in the movie? What if I run into her at the Magic Kingdom? This could really be a conversation starter with me and the princess ;)

The colors on the Dots After Six Skirt feel more Fall then Spring-like to me, but still there is something about the crazy pattern and darling bow that make me swoon. I can picture this with navy, rust or mustard cardis - all of which are already hanging in my closet. Love it!


I love the simple cut of this Sail Shapes Dress, it looks like it could easily pair with a pair of sandals and viola! You're out the door!

Finally, a dress that hasn't received much buzz, but catches my eye just the same. The Shirt the Issue Dress is another easy piece that reminds me somehow of my Bayside Jumper...The cut of the back keeps this from being boring. I adore the almost prairie like floral print on this one.

My two oldest have off from school today because of the freezing rain and slick road conditions. I'm glad the Anthro sale could get my mood off to a good start this morning...
