OOTD - Clear the Roads!

I wore the Southward Stop Shirtdress to church yesterday and paired it with my Rushing Ruffles Cardigan and Berry Bush Tights, just like when I originally tried it on, here. To mix things up and be even more casual today, I experimented with wearing the Breezy Polka Cardi and my boots from Target. Even though there isn't any red in the dress, I think this works.

Today I am driving around in my rental van as my car is away for repairs....cross your fingers that the damage doesn't cost a bazillion dollars to fix. I never thought I was the mini van type, but I have to admit, I really love driving around in this thing - just be sure to get out of my way if you see me coming ;)

Jan this outfit was on my list of outfits to wear during the 30 for 30 challenge! Great minds think alike :)

My employer provides us with vehicles when we need to travel for work and a few of them are mini vans. I don't mind driving them at all.

I think red looks great with this dress! I swear, I was going to wear this dress tomorrow before I even saw this post! Now, I may think about trying it with my berry blush tights, too!

Jan--you are the cutest thing in this! I adore the dress paired with that cardigan and boots...totally meant for each other! Aren't those the greatest boots?? I love them too!

You look like a commercial for VW! Love the red sweater with the dress. I'm going to try it. TOtally works! I was absolutely NOT the minivan type but caved after the third kid and bought the exact black Routan you're standing in front of. We got the top model with leather and the better engine and it is SO AWESOME. I could never go back to a regular car. For reals.

I love how you paired the Southward stop dress with the boots and cute cardi!! I was totally going to wear almost the exact same thing but my boots came and they were too small I am still waiting for the larger size! I love my van and all the room it gives me! I won't always drive one but for right now I love it!

Thanks for the sweet comments!

laylablue - I have a Volvo wagon right now, which is the same-ish size as the Outback, and now that I have three little ones it's a tight squeeze! When we had two, it was perfect! I love station wagons!

Sara - that makes me feel so much better about the two pieces "going" togehter - I can't wait to see you wearing it!

Pamela - I really think the Berry Bush tights are the perfect compliment to the dress because of the plummy flecks - hope you DO wear the outfit tomorrow so I can see!

St. Germain - I called the dealership earlier today to see if the van was available for purchase! I LOVE it - and so do the boys, they are crazy about the extra space and DVD screens. I totally want one - it's the sportiest/cutest van I've ever seen. My neighbor was gaga about it at the bus stop too - we don't see many of them around here! I'm glad to hear from an owner that you really love yours.

Hey Jan! I've worn the dress with my red polka sweater too...how weird is THAT? It does totally work, at least I think so, and on you, the most adorable mom ever, it couldn't be cuter!

I love how you just go for it when it comes to color. The results are great! Haha... I'm still cracking up over your little accident and now your monster van.

The perfect combo and this color is beautiful on you. I would have never thought of pairing these two, but now I can't see them apart!!

What a cute way to wear the Breezy Polkas! Even if the SS doesn't actually have any red in it, I think this pairing works perfectly.

I'm so sorry to hear about the rough week you had. That CO alarm would have driven me bonkers, and I've had quite the share of car mishaps myself. Expert at hitting stationery objects, I am
